Process Optimization Pyramid

Where Do I Start?

It's a great question to ask. Using our Process Optimization Pyramid you can determine the best place to start driving profitability.

Process Documentation

Are your processes documented? If not, documenting them using Ingenuus provides you with a process repository that can support managment evaluations of your processes, optimization efforts, and even audits. Reports on which processes have been documented, optimized, and revised are automatic, elminiating the need for hours and hours of administrative data collection. Start here if you don't have your processes documented.

Process Evaluation

If you have your processes documented, do you reguarly evaluate them? Most regulations require a regular schedule of process review and evaluation as part of maintaining compliance. Using Ingenuus makes process evaluation more efficient by keeping each process as part of an Active Packet. The documented process is controlled by a management process that allows for various activities, like regular reviews, to be scheduled and managed. Start here if you have your processes documented.

Process Optimization

Once your processes are documented and being managed well enough to evaluate them even if you are not using Ingenuus to do that, you can use Ingenuus to manage optimization activities. We support Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation and all forms of process quality and management. By placing all the known information about a process into an Active Packet, it can be controlled by it's own process to streamline virtual collaboration for process changes and improvement. Perfect for continuous process improvement activities. Start here if you have your processes documented and regularly evaluate them.

Process Automation

You will note that as we climb the Pyramid, fewer and fewer balls representing processes rise to the top. That is because most companies do not have to automate all of their processes. Although a complete documentation of all, or most, of your processes would prove extremely helpful, not all processes can benefit from regular evaluation and optimization. Only those processes that can make a difference to your business efficiency and profitability should be automated.

Process Optimization "Portal"

Included with the Process Orchestrator are a number of processes that are pre-configured to act as optimization tools for the documentation, evaluation, optimization and ultimate automation of other processes. Because processes in Ingenuus create applications, these processes are basically a collection of applications that create a "portal" that can be used as Optimization Central. The framework, i.e., the processes and logic, that make this a reality we call the Process Optimization Pyramid.

Business Line Managers are empowered to take control of their processes while the portal "orchestrates" processes and activities that intersect. The result is a one-stop-shop for process optimization and reporting.

Lean and Six Sigma Tools

As part of the Process Optimization Pyramid, Ingenuus provides third-party Lean and Six Sigma tools, most of which are Microsoft based. These tools are stored in the dintegrated ocument repository insuring that only the latest version is used. Then, copies of the templates are attached to the appropriate process and completed as part of the process activities or tasks.

If you already have tools and templates in use, your tools and templates can be quickly added to the document repository.
